Greg Bimm

Program Consultant

Greg BimmGreg Bimm is one of the most iconic music educators in the world. We are already benefiting from his wealth of knowledge daily, and are proud to welcome Mrs. Vogt's mentor and former band director. We cannot wait to meet you, Mr. Bimm!

Greg Bimm (Chicago Heights, Illinois) served as Director of Bands at Marian Catholic High School from 1977 through 2023. Under Bimm's direction, the Marian Band grew from 70 to over 280 members and built a reputation as one of the premier high school band programs in the U.S. Honors include 7 BOA Grand National championships, 21 BOA National class championships, and 34 consecutive BOA National Finalist appearances. Marian has won 42 successive Illinois State marching class championships. The concert bands at Marian performed at the first BOA National Concert Festival and at numerous other state and national conventions. They have been undefeated in Catholic school concert contests for 41 years. They’ve appeared in the Macy’s, Presidential Inaugural, and Rose parades and are among the few to receive both the Sudler Flag for concert band excellence and the Sudler Shield for marching band by the John Philip Sousa Foundation.

Bimm has received numerous NBA Citations of Excellence, the national ASBDA Stanbury Award for young band directors (1983), and twice the Sudler Order of Merit from the John Philip Sousa Foundation. In 1995, Bimm was the first high school band director to conduct the Illinois All-State band. Bimm received the Mary Hoffman Award of Excellence from IMEA and received career recognition from the Illinois Alliance for Arts Education. He was named a Lowell Mason Fellow by the NAfME received the Distinguished Service Award from the Archdiocese of Chicago. Bimm was inducted into the inaugural class of the ISU College of Fine Arts Hall of Fame, the Distinguished Alumni at LaSalle-Peru Township High School, and the MFA-BOA Hall of Fame. Bimm received an honorary doctorate in music education from the Vandercook College of Music and the Chicagoland Music Educator John Paynter Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2019, Bimm was honored by the Midwest Clinic as a Clinic Legend and has been a member of the ABA since 1994.


Lindsey Schueller

Program Coordinator & Visual Designer

Lindsey SchuellerWe are very excited to have Lindsey's expertise, specifically in seamless visual design, on our team! She has a way of designing shows that spark audience interest and draw the crowd into every visual change. Welcome, Lindsey!

Lindsey was born and raised in Michigan where she began her pageantry arts career. She went on to perform with Genesis Percussion, Rhythm X, Blue Stars, Bluecoats, and Carolina Crown. She received her undergraduate education from Central Michigan University and her Doctor of Audiology from Rush University. Lindsey worked for several years as an Educational Audiologist in southwest Michigan before moving to Atlanta to pursue visual design full time.

For over a decade Lindsey has been an active visual designer and instructor with scholastic and independent programs all over the country, including BOA regional finalists, champions, grand national semi-finalists, DCI and WGI finalists and champions. Since 2014, she had worked as visual supervisor or visual designer with Legends Drum and Bugle Corps, additionally, in 2019 and 2021 she worked with Boston Crusaders as a visual instructor and visual design intern. Lindsey has been the visual designer with Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps, who in 2022 returned to DCI Finalist status for the first time in 13 years, and built on that success to earn 10th place in 2023. During the indoor season, she has worked with several guard and percussion programs in the Atlanta area and around the country. Lindsey spends most weekends within the Atlanta Quest organization at Q2, who returned to WGI finalist status in 2022 for the first time in 7 years, and earned a top 5 position in 2023. Beginning in the 2022-2023 season, she has taken on a new and unique adventure of designing for the NFL Washington Commanders Marching Band; One of only two marching bands in the NFL.


Kevin Leboeuf

Music Designer & Winds Arranger

Kevin LeboeufKevin brings a truly unique approach to music design in the marching band realm that is fresh, entertaining, and educational. We are so happy to have him on our team so our students and community can experience his music and passion!

Kevin LeBoeuf is the brass caption manager for The Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps of Canton, Ohio. Prior to his appointment at “Bloo”, Kevin served as the brass caption manager for The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps, based in Rosemont, Illinois, from 2018-2022 and served on the Carolina Crown brass staff from 2015-2017.

Kevin holds an undergraduate degree from Rutgers University, and a graduate degree in wind-band conducting, under the instruction of Dr. Travis Cross at the University of California, Los Angeles.
He serves as the brass caption head for the Aimachi marching band in Nagoya, Japan and has presented clinics throughout The US, Japan, and Thailand. Outside of Drum Corps, LeBoeuf balances a career split between New York, Los Angeles, and Japan, as a composer, arranger, sound system designer, and general contractor.


Nick Mason

Percussion Director

Nick Mason

Nick Mason is a native of Nashville, Tennessee and has been involved extensively with Audio Production and the Pageantry Arts for over a decade.

Nick's performance background includes 6 seasons of marching band, 6 seasons of WGI and 2 seasons of DCI. He spent three years at Chattanooga Independent Percussion Ensemble (Cleveland, TN) on snare drum from 2014-2016. His next three years were at 8 time WGI World Champions, Music City Mystique (Nashville, TN) from 2017-2019 on snare drum where he won the PIW Gold Medal in 2017 and the PIW Bronze Medal in 2019. Additionally, Nick has marched 2 years of Drum Corps at 7 time DCI World Champion, The Cavaliers (Rosemont, IL) from 2018-2019 on snare drum. Nick has also been a member of the MTSU Band of Blue
Drumline (Murfreesboro, TN) from 2017-2018, where he served as the percussion section leader for the 2018 season.

Since graduating college, Nick has worked on numerous projects including The Cavaliers 2020 (Editing and Mixing Engineer) and 2023 (Lead Mixing Engineer) PASIC Clinics, Virtual Arts’ Drum and Bugle Corps and Marching Band productions, California Orchestra Directors Association's Virtual Performance, California All State Virtual Performances, and many post-production projects for individual artists. He has also worked with numerous clients where he’s provided pageantry, live sound, and broadcasting audio services, including Timber Creek HS (FL), Ravenwood HS, (TN), Audio Theater (TN), Music City Drum Corps (TN), FloMarching (TX), The Nashville Public Library (TN) and The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps (IL) as the Lead Audio Engineer where they won the Fred Sanford High Percussion Award in 2023. Along with developing and building MAS, Nick also works as the Audio Manager and Specialist at Synced Up Audio and Synced Up Designs.

Currently, Nick holds a B.S. in Audio Production and Music Industry from Middle Tennessee State University and resides in Nashville, TN. He actively serves as the owner of Mason Audio Solutions, the Percussion Director at Ravenwood High School (Brentwood, TN), a Snare Technician at Audio Theater, the Audio Department Manager at Synced Up Audio, the Audio Coordinator at Music City Drum Corps, adjudicates and offers marching commentary, audio solutions and services to the greater Nashville area and other parts of the country. Nick is also a proud Innovative Percussion, Inc. educational artist.


Kenny Swartout

Battery Percussion Instructor

Kenny SwartoutKenneth was adopted from Seoul, South Korea at 6 months old and was raised in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. After falling in love with music through high school marching band, Kenneth moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue his B.A. in Percussion Performance at the Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University. During his time at Vanderbilt, Kenneth began his professional teaching career, becoming a percussion technician at the Vanderbilt Spirit of Gold Marching Band as a sophomore and the band’s Percussion Director as a junior. Additionally, Kenneth taught at Green Hill High School, Stratford High School, Ravenwood High School, and Highlands Ranch High School.

Currently, Kenneth remains the Vanderbilt Percussion Director, a percussion technician at Ravenwood HS, and a show designer, arranger, and instructor at Highlands Ranch HS.

Kenneth's marching arts career began in high school, where he participated in 4 seasons of both indoor and outdoor. I was also a performing member of the Blue Knights Percussion Ensemble in 2016 and 2017, competing in two WGI ensembles in 2017 when his high school and the Blue Knights traveled to Dayton for WGI world championships. In DCI, Kenneth was a performing member of the Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps from 2017 through 2019. Kenneth then switched to a staffing position at the Boston Crusaders, working as one of their lead videographers. Beyond the music education and performance scene, Kenneth is heavily involved in media production, working for Synced Up Designs as their Social Media / Online Marketing Manager.

Kenneth is also a cofounder of Continuous Motion Productions, LLC, a multifaceted video and audio production company that specializes in capturing musical performance. Kenneth values the intersection between music and media, enjoying the opportunity to give performers high quality content.


Parker McClard

Battery Percussion Instructor

Parker McClardParker McClard Grew up in Bolivar, Missouri and has been involved in the Marching Arts his
entire life.

Parker grew up going to band camp and football games with his father, who was the Band Director in his hometown. He started his drumline career At Bolivar High School, where he marched for four years. After high school, he continued with the Missouri State University Pride Marching band (Springfield, MO) in 2020-2022. He served as Battery Captain his last year, and stayed for 2023 to teach. Parker marched two seasons of DCI with The Academy (Tempe, AZ) in 2022 and 2023. He also marched two seasons of WGI with Freedom Indoor Percussion (St Louis, MO) 2022 and 2023, bringing home PIO Bronze medals both years, and with eight-time world champions Music City Mystique (Nashville, TN) 2024.

Since moving to Tennessee Parker has started his own business as a piano technician, cleverly named “Parker McClard Piano Tuning.” He has been tuning pianos for 16 years and proudly carries on his family's legacy as a Fourth Generation Piano Technician. He serves the Nashville Musicians’ Union, Clarksville High School, Lane Music, Music Lab, Music Notes, and countless churches, studios, and music teachers all across the Nashville area. Parker is also the drummer for a music project called “Hayloft,” who will be releasing their debut full length album in October.


Trent Gronewold

Front Ensemble Arranger & Sound Designer

Trent GronewoldTrent brings a fresh approach to his front ensemble books, seamlessly tying in the music from the winds with the percussion through front ensemble moments and electronic packages. We are excited to have his energy on the Red Team!

Trent is a full time percussion arranger and educator from Southern California. He is the Front Ensemble Arranger and Sound Designer for POW Percussion, Pacific Crest Drum & Bugle Corps, Thesis Indoor, and Élan Percussion. Trent has run the percussion program at Gahr HS since 2017, and has been on staff at Pulse Percussion since 2022. Previously, he was the Front Ensemble Arranger for Gold Drum and Bugle Corps from 2020-2022, helping earn the corps their first ever silver medal in DCI Open Class.

Trent has been working behind the scenes for Box Six since 2016 assisting with front ensemble arranging. Recently he began writing Indoor Percussion shows with John Mapes for Box Six. In addition to Box Six, he has his music published on Front2Back music and Standing O Marching.

His marching experience includes the Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps (2015-2016), Santa Clara Vanguard (2018), and Pulse Percussion (2016-2020), where he served as section leader for his last 3 years. During this time he has won a WGI Championship, a DCI Championship and a Fred Sanford High Percussion Award. Trent is also a member of the Vic Firth and Zildjian Educational Team.


Carson Shipley

Front Ensemble Instructor

Carson ShipleyCarson Shipley is originally from Mount Juliet, Tennessee and has been involved in the marching arts since 2013.

Carson’s background in the marching activity includes his high school program, 3 seasons of WGI and two seasons of DCI. He spent three years marching in the front ensemble at Music City Mystique (Nashville, TN) from 2020 through 2022. Additionally, Carson marched 2 years with Carolina Crown (Fort Mill, SC) and their front ensemble in 2021 and 2022.

Since finishing his time as a performer, Carson has been teaching in the Middle Tennessee area at local high schools, notably Ravenwood High School (Brentwood, TN) and Franklin High School (Franklin, TN). He was also on the audio team at Music City Drum and Bugle Corps (Nashville, TN) in 2024.

Besides the marching arts, Carson has earned a Bachelor's degree in Music Industry with a minor in Psychology at Middle Tennessee State University (Murfreesboro, TN).

 


Daniel Long

Guard Director & Choreographer

Daniel LongWe all know Daniel Long and are excited to welcome him back in the same roles as Guard Director and Guard Choreographer! Daniel brings a sense of musicality to his choreographer that we are excited to witness in this year's show!

Daniel Long was born in North Carolina. His love for music began as a young child playing piano. Daniel went on to play percussion in grade school, Memphis Youth Symphony Orchestra 2005-2007, Governor's School for the Arts in 2006, and the University of Memphis Drumline in 2006 & 2008.

He started his color guard career marching with Memphis Sound Drum Corps in the summer of 2008 and was granted the guard captain position in 2009. Daniel was a marching member of the competitive winterguard, Eklipse, from 2009 to 2012, and then served on the Eklipse staff as a choreographer from 2012 to 2014.

Daniel loves coaching and giving back to the activity that has shaped him into the person he is today. In addition to his responsibilities at Ravenwood, he runs his real estate team, JDL Properties, an affiliate of Keller Williams Realty. Daniel is grateful that he gets to spend all of his time doing the things that he loves.
